These skills are so important:
5 topics & how they've helped me...

I started content creation back in 2023
Some of these skills I knew before I started
However all of them have helped me mass 1 million followers over tiktok & instagram…
They are also a foundation to live a healthy, informative, prosperous life.
Skill 1: Self-reflection & application.
Everybody does what they’re good at, few practice their weaknesses.
This is something I got from David Goggins.
Breaking down the parts of your life which could be improved, that should be improved.
For example - A narrative in bodybuilding is skip legs
But what does that do?
It makes them disproportionate.
So how do you self-reflect?
Write down everything you do that you like/ that’s easy & the things you often you avoid…
Then prioritize your weaknesses / the things you avoid, with having the easy things as secondary,
When I first started content creation - I didn’t like writing emails, I thought they were a waste - but that came from a place of fear.
Here’s a story:
I was at the gym a year ago with my mate in the mma section,
& this Scottish guy asked if we skipped - I laughed & said something like
“nah, it’s stupid” - something like that
He then challenged me to do it,
I did 4-5 jumps before messing up…
He spoke to me about the benefits of jumping rope,
Then showed told me my own fear/ignorance of looking like a muppet
Was stopping me from getting these benefits.
This anecdote didn’t teach me - “self reflection”
But it’s an example of how not self-reflecting held me back.
If a task is complicated - break it down into manageable steps…
Find a start point & add motion…
That’s how self-reflection has helped me.
Skill 2: AI & Prompts
This is primarily to do with content creation…
Whether it’s expanding images, generating ideas / strategies or even just schedule optimising…
AI is so HELPFUL
ChatGPT, Capcuts AI & Canva AI is something I use on a weekly, if not, daily basis…
ChatGPT can clean up website coding - as long as your precise with your prompt.
You get a handful of uses on their most developed model
So your prompt has to be precise to maximise those uses.
Here’s a prompt structure I use:
<instructions> You are a …. with deep expertise in …(1-3 topic). If information is unavailable, state that explicitly. </instructions>
<context> <business_name> (COMPANY </business_name> <industry> ((INDUSTRY)</industry>
«current_focus> (Brief one-paragraph description of what the company does.)] </current_focus>
<known_challenges> (List or paragraph of the biggest obstacles you're aware of - e.g., slowing user growth, rising CAC, regulatory pressure)] </known_challenges> </context>
«task> 1. *whatever you need 2. *whatever you need 3. *whatever you need </task>
<approach> - Go VERY deep. Research far more than you normally would. Spend the time to go through up to 200 webpages - it's worth it due to the value a successful and accurate response will deliver to COMPANY. - Don't just look at articles, forums, etc. - anything is fair game... COMPANY/competitor websites, analytics platforms, etc. </approach>
<output_format> Return ONLY the following XML: <answer> (use these or any formats you want) <competitive landscape> <! - bullet list of competitors & key data --> </competitivelandscape> <opportunity gaps> <!-- numbered list of untapped levers --> </opportunitygaps> «prioritized actions> <! - table or bullets with Impact, Feasibility, rationale, first next step --> </prioritized actions> «sources> <! - numbered list of URLs or publication titles --> </sources> </answer> </output_format>
This font will take some getting used to - but you can apply this structure to any niche…
There are so many more prompts to go specifically into AI, this is a newsletter I use for prompts:

These guys do the hard work for me & all I have to do is read.
Skill 3: Grounding
I am not talking about walking outside barefoot…
I am talking about recentralising myself.
Why is this important? Focus
This is something I got from Andrew Huberman…
We have a dopamine reward system,
If we abuse it with short term gratification we wreck our work ethic…
A way that you can rewire your brain mid-day is to go for a walk with no phone/ headphones
This increases brain activity & you’re left with your own thoughts - this often has lead me to come back and be productive.
Maybe it’s placebo, maybe there is science in it,
all I know is, it works for me - 20-30 minutes of no stimulation other than moving forward at a calm pace
Skill 4: Sleep & waking up early
I don’t care what anybody says
Sleep is a skill.
If you don’t have a perfect night sleep - you feel awful the next day
You put on fat easier, you damage your brain and organs…
Your hormones are shot - therefor more susceptible to mental health & health issues…
Waking up early is also a skill - because people fail at it daily, despite wanting to wake up early.
So how do you improve sleep?
Work with your body & not against it
Here’s a list of things for better sleep tonight:
No caffeine post 11am/12pm
No caffeine before 90 minutes of waking up - the later the better
No bright screens in your face an hour before bed - turn tv brightness down too - even better to just read.
Don’t eat 3-4 hours before bed
Exercise - even if its 20-30 minutes
Move more in the morning when you wake up
Get sunlight in your eyes
Don’t eat within 4 hours of waking up
This might sound authoritarian but your body has processes that it needs to undergo to be in prime condition…
You have to get melatonin & adenosine out of your system
Eating early spikes insulin which makes you feel tired…
If you sleep better, you live better
Sleep directly controls quality of life.
Skill 5: Saying when is when
I know my page is about motivation, never giving up…
But sometimes - you have to.
An example for me - was my first & last youtube shorts page
@betterbytes
I got millions of views & I got thousands of subscribers all within 3 months
I thought to myself - “this is great - Im finally going to start making money online”
I was so wrong - the youtube creator program didn’t let me join
I appealed - showed my editing - gave ample evidence
& three days later I got rejected again.
I didn’t give up on content creation - but I did give up on that path.
Keep the goal in sight at all times but keep your options to getting there open.
I helped a good friend - @controversytv
He reached 10K on youtube and tiktok and the same happened to him
He got rejected
But he didn’t want to let go - he wasted 8 months or something like that on a pursuit which I kept telling him to let go.
The goal is the goal - how you get there changes and is circumstancial.
I learned this skill through door-door sales when I was 20.
You go in with the mindset, the formula & the passion - but about 90 out of 100 people will just say no off the rip,
Those are your ideas that don’t work.
Then you have about 6 people you get to the close/ inbetween the close,
Those are your ideas that somewhat work, build your skills but ultimately don’t reach your goals.
Then you have them 3-4 beautiful people who hear you out & you get your sales
Those are your ideas that work & you reap your reward.
Now it’s not 100 people lined up in perfect order - it’s random & you might get lucky on your first door/idea
& on your next
Or you’ve practiced the routine so much your averages improve overall…
But when you get to them no’s - you take that no as a clear rejection and move on to the next opportunity asap.
That philosophy can be applied to other parts of your life - if someone’s kinda working with you and your partially compatible but then they have these beliefs that are wild
Or their morals don’t align with yours
Friend - it’s best you take that as a complicated, no
It’s better to walk away earlier.
Bonus:
Skill 6: Making carousels 😏
My current style for carousels has allowed me to grow 20K followers in a week

Anyways…
I hoped you found this helpful.
